About This Program
Community service opportunities are available through Crystal Springs Foundation all year at Crystal Springs Preserve. Service projects can range from habitat restoration on land to aquatic restoration in the river or spring. Crystal Springs Foundation also works with Eagle Scouts, Scout Troops, Florida Bright Future students, and classroom students interested in donating their time and talent to enhancing our site. All projects need to be approved in advance and service dates are limited. Age requirements and adult supervision vary depending on the type of project requested. Become One with the River:
Habitat Restoration Immersion
Sometimes nature needs a helping hand, and you must get wet!
For the Lovers of the Land:
Habitat Restoration
Participants will assist the CSF team by adding native plantings, removing exotics plants, and helping with trail maintenance.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at Crystal Springs Preserve is offered in a 4-hour block Monday – Friday. We also have a limited number of Saturdays available for volunteer projects.
Our “Hands on the Habitat” program gives volunteers an opportunity to give back to nature through habitat restoration, and allows individuals to earn service hours.
Student Volunteers
Students interested in Florida Bright Futures service hours should consult with their guidance counselor prior to contacting Crystal Springs Foundation.
We prefer that all student volunteers work in groups of 2 or more.
